Lucinda Birch is a writer and artist who hides in rural Wairarapa, Aotearoa New Zealand. She writes short stories, both fiction and non-fiction. Some are available to read online here. Her stories have been widely published and occasionally award winning. This one won the Sunday Star Times short essay competition.
